Burned the ROCKY PATEL VINTAGE 1999 CONNECTICUT TORPEDO (6.25" x 52), Rated '93'!

Very good smooth mild smoke.

 

LA GRAN LLAVE MADURO BOX-PRESSED DOUBLE CORONA by AJ Fernandez (7.5" x 54) 

Rated '92'!  

     I know I did a recent review on the 5.5" x 60 Quapo size.  Scored a Pack of 5 of the huge Double Coronas last month for $14.50 and had to make note of this fine blend again.  Burn and draw were perfect.  Nice smooth high medium flavor just a few weeks out of the cello.  Going to add these to my go-to Maduros.   Beautiful cigar and a great smoke! 

GRAYCLIFF ORIGNAL RED SERIES PGX (6" x 50), Rated '89'. 

     Been aging naked since July, 2017.  That's 3 years and 3 months.  Even after that long a nap it still doesn't rise to more than an average tasting cigar.  The few Indonesian or Ecuador Natural wrapped cigars I have smoked all tasted about the same.  The ridiculous M.S.R.P. of $18.75 per cigar results mainly from carrying the Graycliff five star rad label.  At present I believe they are discontinued.  The only Graycliff blends I have burned that are still being sold that are very good solid smokes are the 10 Year Vintage Maduro, Rated '93' and the 30 Year Vintage Cameroon, Rated '94'.

Rated '91'

Top shelf quality.  Effortless draw.  Perfect burn.  Flavor only reaches a smooth medium.  Good smoke but not great.  Won a Box of 20 for $52.00 at CigarBid.  Great buy at that price.  Still sells online for $283.50 in some places! 😆

Very good crisp smooth medium to full flavor.  Excellent smoke!

TTT TRINIDAD SANTIAGO HABANO TORO (6" x 54)

Rated '90' 

This was aged naked for 14 months.  Honestly they are much better right out of the cello or stored with the cello kept on.  WHY?  LOL, who knows.

ALEC & BRADLEY GATEKEEPER HABANO ROBUSTO (5" x 50)

Rated '91'. 

     This Robusto size was good but I bet the 6" x 60 Gordo would be even better.

AVE MARIA IMMACULATA CONNECTICUT CHURCHILL (7" x 48), Rated '93'

      Perdomo makes some of the best Connecticut wrapped cigars.  The 5 VEGAS GOLD 10th ANNIVERSARY CHURCHILL (7" x 50), Rated '92', is no exception.  Very good smoke.

      Burned a LA PALINA REGAL RESERVE OSCURO TORO (6" x 50), Rated '90' earlier.  Very nice medium smoke.

Classic

      One of my all-time fav smokes, the MAN O' WAR TORO (6.5" x 52), Rated '93'.  The original M.O.W. line still got it.
